About

Yvonne Rich is the creator of Did You Know! Mobile Museum of Exceptional People, which illustrates little known facts and contributions of Indigenous and African Americans in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Yvonne's studies in African American History, combined with a passion to inspire and re-educate both children and adults about the revised history of marginalized individuals whose historical data has been omitted from textbooks, lead Yvonne to create the mobile museum over 25 years ago as an uplifting and inspiring force for change in every community.

Yvonne believes healing begins with telling the truth and is mindful of the responsibility to set the record straight at a time when the country is so divided by lies and misinformation. She believes the mobile museum can create a means to address the unconscious bias that exists in our country.

The Did You Know! Mobile Museum provided attendees with a virtual “walk through time” presenting the accomplishments, inventions and the rich contributions of African Americans that need to be taught, preserved and remembered.

Did you Know! Mobile Museum of Exceptional People has been featured at the Tempe History Musuem, Arizona State Capitol, George Washington Carver Museum in partnership with Arizona State University, as well as presented to K-12 students, Girl Scouts, churches, and civic organizations in Georgia and Arizona.

Our presentations are inspirational and educational for K-12 students, teachers, businesses, and organizations, particularly as we continue the challenging conversations around racial equality and racial healing in our country.

The content of our mobile museum is factual, visual, and fun. Participants feel empowered and inspired while still acknowledging the hidden history and major contributions of Indigenous and African Americans in STEM.
